Auction4Autism is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles as set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles/), as amended. Your personal information is any information which identifies you as an individual or from which your identity can be determined.
This Privacy Policy tells you what kind of personal information of yours that we may collect and how we may use that information or discloses that information. You can correct any personal information that we collect.
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
Auction4Autism collects only that personal information on individuals that is necessary to conduct our business activities. These purposes for collecting personal information are listed in the section below entitled “Purposes of Collection of Personal information”. The personal information that Auction4Autism collects through its web site Is never distributed or given to any third party. Is used only to contact the person who owns that personal information and/or contact that person who provided that personal information Auction4Autism may collect a person’s name, gender, email addresses, telephone numbers, mailing addresses, date of birth, bank/credit card details.
Auction4Autism may also collect personal information from publicly available sources including online information directories, online social media sources, emails, telephone directories or company websites.
Note: if you do not provide some or all of the personal information that we request, it may not be possible to answer your questions or to reply to you or to offer you services or to respond to you. For example, when you are making a donation – if you do not provide us with all of the personal information we request when you are making a donation we may not be able to process that donation or purchase correctly or to correctly issue you with a tax-deductible receipt or tax invoice.
When it is important and when we are able, we will let you know the effects of a failure to provide personal information, if and when the situation arises.
LOG HOW WE COLLECT AND HOLD PERSONAL INFORMATION AND DATA
Auction4Autism collects personal information both directly and indirectly.
We may collect personal information when we contact you or when you contact us directly or indirectly. These contacts may be by telephone, or email, or through contact forms, donation forms, registration forms or transactions, by social media, or websites, or by taking part in an event, such as an Auction etc. We may collect personal information from application forms etc. At an event, we may intentionally or unintentionally take your picture and/or ask for personal details.
Auction4Autism collects information when you visit our website and when you visit our social media sites, such as Facebook or Twitter, or when you registered to sell online or auction online or to donate or to otherwise contact or make a request or by using cookies. This allows us to improve our level of service to you and for follow-up communications with you. For further detail please see the section below “Use of Cookies”. We may collect personal information from physical or online sources of information. These sources may include information directories, personal or company emails, or websites, or social media postings from you directly or that may otherwise provide this information.
We hold personal information electronically and in hard copy form, both at our own premises and with the assistance of our service providers. We take security steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. These steps include encrypted transmission of electronic data, up-to-date anti-virus software, regular monitoring of all network traffic and strict access control policies on electronic data including authorization of user log-ins and password levels. We also confirm that any third party service providers we use also have satisfactory processes in place. We secure any paper files in locked locations with restricted physical access and use of security alarms. We also take measures in respect of destroying or de-identifying personal information that is no longer needed for any lawful purpose. In relation to receiving donor, participant or customer payments, Auction4Autism through the Ingham Institute uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificates, which is a generally accepted standard for secure commerce transactions.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
We often use external service providers to conduct certain services that we choose not to perform ourselves, such as printing and mailing, data processing and analysis, emailing, social media or telephone calls. In this case disclosure of your personal information is only done to help them to perform services for us. These Australian only external service providers are obligated to Auction4Autism to maintain privacy and security as outlined in this Privacy Policy for an on behalf of Auction4Autism.
Auction4Autism and Ingham Institute do not share or exchange your personal information with other charities.
In cases where you make a recurring periodical direct debit or donation to Auction4Autism, your personal financial information will be securely stored by Westpac Banking Corporation and not the Ingham Institute or Auction4Autism. Such information will only be disclosed to you, or to your financial institution, relative to a claim made by you.
If the law demands it may be necessary to provide your personal information to statutory third party or regulatory authority.

Auction4Autism and Ingham Institute tries to maintain accuracy in your personal information.
Otherwise, No one outside of Auction4Autism or the Ingham Institute can get access to your personal information.
